Calendar Sync: Connecting Your External Calendars
Learn how to sync your venue calendar with Google Calendar or iCal to automatically block dates and manage availability.
Introduction
Calendar sync allows you to automatically manage your venue's availability by connecting external calendars. This ensures your venue calendar stays up to date without manual intervention.
Google Calendar Sync
Setting Up Google Calendar Sync
- Go to your venue's calendar settings
- Click "Connect Google Calendar"
- Authorize Eventiry to access your Google Calendar
- Select which calendar to sync
- Choose sync direction (Import, Export, or Bidirectional)
How It Works
- Import: Events in your Google Calendar automatically block dates in Eventiry
- Export: Bookings in Eventiry automatically create events in Google Calendar
- Bidirectional: Both directions sync automatically
Sync Frequency
Calendar sync runs automatically every 15 minutes. You can also manually trigger a sync at any time.
iCal URL Sync
Setting Up iCal Sync
- Get your iCal URL from your calendar provider
- Go to your venue's calendar settings
- Click "Add iCal URL"
- Paste your iCal URL
- Save the configuration
Supported Providers
iCal sync works with any calendar that provides an iCal feed URL, including:
- Apple Calendar
- Outlook.com
- Most calendar applications
Best Practices
